ROI Medical Records Specialist - Local Travel

Job Summary
Review requestor information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines to determine records for release, obtaining pertinent patient data from electronic, off-site, or physical sources. Answer phone calls regarding ROI issues and respond to walk-in customers by logging information into the ROI On-Line database. Process priority requests from physician offices by faxing information and scan medical records into the database. Handle and record cash payments for requests at specified sites while complying with facility policies and regulations. Requires a driver's license, ability to travel between facilities in Westerville, OH, and proficiency with computer applications. Prior experience in Release of Information is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- One or more years experience entering data into computer systems
- Experience using the internet
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated success responding to customer inquiries
- Demonstrated success working in an environment that requires attention to detail
- Proven track record of dependability
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to travel between facilities
- Driver's License
