Job Summary
Collect field data utilizing GPS and surveying instruments to produce accurate field notes and sketches. Operate a motor vehicle safely while organizing and prioritizing daily tasks for precise land surface measurements in Jacksonville and surrounding areas. Collaborate with other departments using available technology. Work independently as a single crew member outdoors in variable weather conditions for extended periods. Requires a valid Florida driver's license and six months of surveying instrument exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida State Driver's License
- Exposure to surveying instruments and processing survey data for 6 months
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
- Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time
- Ability to work independently as a single crew member
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail
