Rodent K9 Detection Handler

Job Summary
The Rodent K9 Detection Technician works with, cares for, and maintains a scent-detection canine trained to locate rodents in various properties. Key responsibilities include guiding the dog through inspections, conducting thorough property assessments, and providing customer demonstrations. Candidates must demonstrate a clean-shaven face for PPE safety, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have previous experience with dogs. Valid driver's license, communication skills, and basic math skills are essential. Work may require travel and must adhere to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Clean-shaven face for safety and PPE sealing purposes
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior experience working with dogs, especially in training or handling environments
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background check
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
- Availability to work Monday–Friday and occasional Saturdays
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Any licenses or certifications required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience and/or training preferred
- Customer-facing experience preferred
