Job Summary
Rodbuster responsible for placing and tying reinforcing steel (rebar) in pre‐designed patterns and ensuring secure installation prior to concrete pours. Read blueprints or verbal instructions, assemble and tie steel with wire and clamps, and install according to specifications. Must safely operate hand and power tools, measure, cut, and shape steel, maintain quality and safety, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals. Duties include positioning structural components, verifying quantities and locations from blueprints or sketches, and complying with health and safety protocols. Requires experience with reinforcing steel, ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and demonstrate strong teamwork in mountainous terrain.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Rodbuster or similar role
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 75 lbs
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to construction tasks
- Must have basic carpentry and welding skills
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Must have knowledge of proper safety procedures
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snow
- Must have experience working in mountainous terrain with steep grades
