Job Summary
Develop and implement community engagement strategies to promote participation and collaboration among First Nations peoples. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and events that support cultural awareness and community development. Provide support and guidance to individuals and families in accessing social care services and resources. Collaborate with local organisations, government agencies, and community groups to advocate for the needs of First Nations communities. Monitor and evaluate community programs to assess their effectiveness and impact. Prepare reports and documentation to communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant qualification in social care, community development, or a related field
- Experience working with First Nations communities or in a social care environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust within the community
- Demonstrated understanding of the cultural, social, and economic issues affecting First Nations peoples
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively.
