Job Summary
Mid-level Rocket Propulsion Engineer responsible for on-site support of rocket motor and energetic component in-service and production engineering at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division. Key duties include fleet failure investigations, energetic components and explosive test and analysis, and configuration management of technical data. Requires hands-on testing experience with ordnance/explosives, proficiency with MATLAB, CAD (Creo or SolidWorks), MS Office/Project, and strong analytical and communication skills. Travel and US citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Mechanical engineering
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with design, analysis, fundamentals of rocket motor propulsion is preferred
- Job experience with DoD is a plus
