Job Summary
Teach groups of primary-age children in a fun, inspiring rock and pop band format across up to 10 schools per week, instructing students on drums, guitar, bass, keyboard, and vocals. Work independently as part of a remote team of band leaders, loading and unloading equipment, setting up, and packing away at each location while driving between schools with your own transport. Represent Rocksteady by building strong relationships with schools, teachers, and parents, and empower children to deliver live performances at end-of-term concerts. You will be an organised, independent worker managing your own timetable and administration, supported by comprehensive training in our progressive teaching methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- UK/EU Driving Licence
- own transport
- competent on at least two of the following instruments: drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals
- The enthusiasm to learn how to teach band lessons and complete our extensive training programme before you start your timetable
- The resilience to work in a role that provides some of your greatest moments and biggest challenges – often all in the same day!
- The confidence to be yourself at work, be proud of your uniqueness and communicate equally well with children, teachers and parents
- The integrity to always promote the safety and well-being of children and young people
- To be an organised, independent worker, with good time management and administration skills
- disclose all unprotected unspent and spent cautions and convictions
- pass an enhanced DBS check with a children's barred list check
