Job Summary
Cover infant classrooms, assist with cleaning common areas and classrooms, support kitchen duties, wash diapers and linens, and maintain operational efficiency by addressing immediate needs. Open and close classrooms, cover breaks and position openings, and assist teachers in implementing the curriculum while fostering a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere. Maintain open communication with staff and leadership, participate in required training sessions, and uphold safety standards by adhering to health protocols. Provide a valid pediatric first aid and CPR certificate within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, climb stairs, crawl, sit, squat, stoop, bend, reach, kneel, rise from the floor, and twist
- Ability to carry and lift 25 pounds or less
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, run short distances, and carry and lift 25-50 pounds
- Excellent long distance and near vision
- Hearing capabilities to respond to children's needs and maintain safety in a moderately noisy environment
- Ability to complete annual required trainings
- Familiarity with childcare licensing requirements, safety protocols, and best practices in early education
- Must pass a background check and fingerprinting
- Must be an E-verify employer applicant
Desired Qualifications
- CDA, Food Handling Certification, and/or CPR/First Aid certificate
- Early Childhood Education experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with families and co-workers
- A respect for diversity and recognition that diversity makes the program better
