Job Summary
Operate robotic welding cells to manufacture metal components per engineering drawings and quality standards while performing setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance. Load and unload parts, monitor welding parameters, and adjust settings within approved guidelines. Inspect finished welds for quality and dimensions, perform basic troubleshooting, and make minor program touch-ups. Replace consumables, read blueprints, use measuring instruments, and document production data and downtime. Communicate equipment issues to supervisors and follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and perform welding repairs or fabrication as required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or robotic welding experience
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills for production reporting
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs independently
- Reliable transportation
- Consistent, punctual attendance during core business hours
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding experience
- Basic understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and weld quality standards
