Job Summary
Execute and document validation activities for new features, bug fixes, and software releases on robotic platforms. Investigate test failures, reproduce issues, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and verify fixes. Maintain and extend manual and automated test suites while continuously improving validation workflows and release readiness criteria. Work hands-on with robotic platforms to ensure product reliability across diverse customer environments. This role sits within ABB's Robotics business as part of the Sevensense by ABB team in Spain and Switzerland.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with a focus on robotic systems
- Experience working hands-on with robotic platforms or other complex hardware-software systems for testing, integration, or troubleshooting
- Industrial experience in software testing, validation engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field
- Good programming skills in Python
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems
- Experience executing and documenting structured validation or test activities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate failures, perform root-cause analysis, and work systematically to resolve issues
- Familiarity with robotics concepts such as localization, navigation, perception, or AMRs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Onsite work location in Spain and Switzerland
