Job Summary
Senior Robotics 3D Perception & Computer Vision Engineer responsible for leading design, implementation, and validation of perception algorithms for autonomous mobile robots. You will work on production-grade CV/3D perception solutions, ensure robust performance in dynamic real-world environments, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to IP and tool development. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams (Perception, Planning, Control, Test, Application) across ABB’s Sevensense and ABB Robotics, with a hybrid work model in Sant Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona, Spain) and Zurich, Switzerland. You’ll apply your expertise to create robust perception capabilities, design experiments with real robots, and help translate innovations into reliable releases while supporting a healthy balance between work and life.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in 3D perception or computer vision, ideally in product-oriented or industrial environments
- industrial software engineering experience in modern C++, with Python
- experience with ROS, Linux, and Git in professional development
- experience with perception sensors (stereo cameras, RGB-D, 2D/3D lidars)
- familiarity with deep learning frameworks, MLOps, robotic navigation planning, and embedded Linux platforms (Jetson)
- ability to work independently and collaborate across teams
- English communication skills
- degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
