Job Summary
Coordinate and oversee robotics software development projects from ideation to completion, collaborating with teams in Singapore and China-based vendors. Develop project scopes, create detailed plans to track progress, and manage timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery. Oversee planning and execution while identifying risks, implementing mitigation solutions, and using verification techniques to control scope, schedule, and costs. Provide regular stakeholder updates, manage client relationships, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years' experience in the field of software development or project management
- Experience in roles such as senior software developer, robotics behavioural software developer, or project lead
- Good knowledge about robotics software stack, such as SLAM, path planning, behavioural trees, mapping, behavioural simulation
- Experience in project management
- In-depth knowledge of software development processes
- Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in embedded software development
- Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills in software development methodologies to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- A bachelor's degree or above in Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in project management or software development is preferred
- Good product sense and keen focus on product performance; being able to quickly understand product requirements
- In-depth participation in feature design discussions
- Expertise and experience in embedded system development, including protocol, architecture, behaviours, security, etc
- PMP / PRINCE II certification
