Job Summary
Lead the implementation and development of the Robotics Production System (RPS) across ABB Robotics' Swedish operations, driving the factory's roadmap and continuous improvement initiatives. Train managers and teams in Lean manufacturing principles, coordinate RPS audits, and support the transition to the new Robotics Campus Sweden. Collaborate with global factories to exchange best practices and foster a culture of operational excellence. This role reports to the Operations Transformation Manager within ABB's Robotics business, situated in Västerås, as the company prepares for acquisition by SoftBank Group.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5-10 years of experience in production engineering, production development, continuous improvement, or a similar operational excellence role
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, World Class Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience leading improvement initiatives and driving change in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all organizational levels
- A proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset with a strong drive to achieve results
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a passion for continuous improvement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in production assembly, quality management, and project management is considered an advantage
- Swedish is highly beneficial
