Job Summary
Robotics Instructor responsible for supervising students and delivering robotics, coding, and technology instruction to children aged 4–18 in a safe and engaging learning environment. Create and implement daily robotics, programming, and coding instruction, promote skill development, manage behavior and classroom safety, organize daily lesson plans, work with fellow Activity Specialists, and serve as a positive role model while adhering to Impact Kids Code of Conduct and Core Values. Must be willing to travel; physical ability to respond to emergencies and navigate a multi-level environment is required.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of previous experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, camp counselor, youth volunteer)
- Robotics, programming & coding instructor/teaching experience (1–5 years minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- High energy, positive approach with a genuine desire to impact young children’s lives through robotics and coding
- Ability to provide constructive criticism, implement curriculum, and work well in a team
- Excellent communication skills with children and parents (written and oral)
- Child abuse clearance and criminal checks are required
