Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive research into humanoid robotics locomotion, manipulation, and interaction while evaluating vendor roadmaps and technology maturity. Advise on integrating specific platforms into existing workflows and map out custom software modules tailored for application tasks. Benchmark hardware and software architectures, including actuators, sensor suites, and AI control models, to support documentation of safety protocols and performance metrics. Develop a three-year robotics adoption roadmap and deliver comparative evaluations of leading platforms, technical integration architectures, and cost-benefit analyses. This six-month contract role requires a degree in Robotics or Mechatronics and proficiency in C++, Python, and ROS 2.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, or Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Experience in Humanoid Kinematics and Dynamic Control Systems
- Self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguous research environments and provide concrete strategic roadmaps
- Proven ability to translate complex technical data into actionable advice for non-technical stakeholders
- Background check clearance
- Drug Test clearance wherever applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in C++ and Python for real-time control and data analysis
- Background in Machine Learning, specifically Reinforcement Learning for bipedal locomotion
- Experience with ROS 2 (Robot Operating System) and simulation environments like Gazebo or NVIDIA Isaac Sim
- Familiar with robotic perception, including camera-based object detection, and visual localization
- Familiar with SST (speech-to-text) and TTS (text-to-speech)
