Job Summary
Research, design, and implement methods for spatial representation and knowledge integration to support autonomous robotic operation on the Elios 3 drone platform. Develop AI-driven capabilities that bridge state-of-the-art research with real-world applications, including interpreting environmental information and reasoning about complex structures. Integrate work into the existing robotics stack and evaluate performance through simulation and experimental validation while defining metrics for system robustness and efficiency. Contribute to future human-robot interaction capabilities and solve open-ended research challenges in spatial AI and intelligent robotics.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
- Previous experience in robotics, machine learning, spatial AI, semantic mapping, scene graphs or related fields
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Familiarity with modern AI approaches such as vision-language models, LLMs fine tuning, retrieval systems (RAG), graph-based representations, semantic mapping, or deep learning frameworks
- Fluent in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with robotics hardware
- French or other languages
- Comfortable reading and implementing ideas from scientific literature
- Hands-on mindset with strong analytical skills and curiosity for solving open-ended research challenges
