Robotics Engineer, Automation | Day Shift

Job Summary
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving robotics, PLCs, machine vision, motion control, and automated manufacturing equipment to maximize equipment performance, reliability, and uptime. Perform root cause analysis using production data and system diagnostics, then partner with cross-functional engineering teams to implement system improvements and corrective actions. Read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings to diagnose failures, create technical documentation, and train manufacturing personnel on best practices. Support new equipment deployments, upgrades, and validation activities while communicating recurring issues to improve future product performance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting industrial automation or robotic manufacturing systems
- Hands-on experience with industrial robotics, PLCs, machine vision, and automated production equipment
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, controls, and software systems
- Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments such as electronics, semiconductor, automotive, or medical device manufacturing
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and drive technical problem resolution
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong technical communication and documentation skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- FANUC robotics, including FANUC DCS
- Beckhoff PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Cognex and/or Matrox vision systems
- Industrial networking and command-line tools
- Experience with industrial printers such as Zebra and Hermes
- Understanding of complex machine recipes and production configurations
- Ability to interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics
- Basic 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
