Job Summary

Develop and implement autonomous systems for defense platforms (ground, air, or maritime) including navigation, perception, and decision‐making; design, integrate, and test software for robotics, AI/ML, and sensor fusion in contested environments; optimize sensor fusion architecture (LiDAR, radar, cameras, GPS, IMUs); develop verification/validation plans and support system certification; mentor engineers, review code, support modeling/simulation and hardware-in-the-loop testing; apply computer vision, path planning, and control algorithms to enable mission execution with minimal human intervention; ensure compliance with DoD standards, cybersecurity, and safety guidelines; conduct field testing and data analysis; stay current with AI, robotics, and autonomous systems technologies; occasional design reviews and briefings for government stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (or closely related field)
  • 5-7 years experience in robotics or autonomous systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Secret Clearance
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 25% annually
