Job Summary
Perform complex non-standard engineering assignments involving design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, and field task execution. Independently review department work products, conduct risk assessments, and execute Failure Modes and Effects Analysis. Propose solutions and work scope to a Supervisor while autonomously adapting technical techniques and procedures for tasks not previously performed. Develop new or adapted products, methods, systems, or models to provide added value solutions to customers. Ensure compliance with government regulations, organization, industry, and customer engineering standards. Actively participate in technical communications with internal customers and provide suggestions for improving processes. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum five years of related experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Dependent on the position, degrees in Physics, Engineering Technology and Engineering Science may also be accepted
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
- Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
- Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
- Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
- Displays leadership characteristics
- Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
- Advanced level of specific software tools (FPGA/VHDL ) and programming skills
- Experience in control system design, including both analog and digital controls
- Experienced in troubleshooting hardware issues from system level to board level to component level
- Motion control experience
