Job Summary
Deliver a 10-session beginner robotics coding course after school, using site-provided robotics kits to teach foundational coding concepts through hands-on activities. Facilitate safe routines, scaffold learning with block-based coding, and guide students through sequencing, loops, conditionals, debugging, and sensor-based interactions. Promote collaboration and problem-solving while maintaining organized kit setup, classroom routines, and attendance tracking. Communicate with site staff and Concorde program contacts to share progress and session outcomes. Requires a minimum of 60 college credits or an associate degree (in progress or completed) and experience with beginner robotics kits; strong facilitation, reliability, and ability to work with students on standard school devices are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits (or Associate degree in progress/completed)
- Experience with beginner robotics kits and/or platforms such as LEGO robotics, Sphero, Ozobot, or VEX (one or more)
- Experience working with school-age students in structured settings (school, camp, after-school, tutoring, youth programs)
- Strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and comfort leading hands-on STEM activities
- Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to follow school policies and program boundaries
- Comfort supporting students on Chromebooks, tablets, or school-issued devices used to program robotics kits
