Job Summary
Robotics Coding Instructor needed for after-school, in-person delivery of a 10-session beginner robotics coding course. Responsibilities include delivering the course using site-provided robotics kits (e.g., LEGO robotics, Sphero, Ozobot, VEX), guiding learners through block-based coding, sequencing, loops, conditionals, and debugging, and facilitating hands-on challenges. The role emphasizes safe equipment use, clear routines, and confidence-building, with responsibilities spanning kit setup/cleanup, coordinating group activities, tracking attendance, and maintaining professional communication with site staff and Concorde program contacts. Ideal candidates have at least 60 college credits (or an Associate degree in progress/completed), experience with beginner robotics platforms, prior work with school-age students in structured settings, strong facilitation and collaboration skills, and comfort using Chromebooks/tablets for programming. The position is contracted, part-time, on-site at partner schools in Fairfield, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 60 college credits (or Associate degree in progress/completed)
- Experience with beginner robotics kits and/or platforms such as LEGO robotics, Sphero, Ozobot, or VEX (one or more)
- Experience working with school-age students in structured settings (school, camp, after-school, tutoring, youth programs)
- Strong facilitation skills, clear communication, and comfort leading hands-on STEM activities
- Reliable, punctual, and professional; able to follow school policies and program boundaries
- Comfort supporting students on Chromebooks, tablets, or school-issued devices used to program robotics kits
