Job Summary
Support design, assembly, and integration of automated/robotic manufacturing cells while enabling readiness for future automation at the Fab 9 Burlington Vermont site. Evaluate and improve existing or future automated equipment to drive continuous improvement in factory operations. Lead improvement projects within a diverse team, adhering to all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements. Assist the Factory Automation team in building new automated manufacturing cells and optimizing mobile robotics platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Junior at time of application
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree
- Majoring in Engineering or Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
- Accredited degree program
- Overall 3.0 GPA
- Good academic standing
- English fluency (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
Desired Qualifications
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Previous experience with robotics and automation
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
