Job Summary
Develop, modify, and optimize welding programs by adjusting teaching points and parameters for various parts and materials. Operate and monitor robotic welding cells while performing routine maintenance on systems and equipment to minimize downtime. Conduct initial trial runs to achieve quality specifications and cycle time goals, then perform visual inspections and measurements to ensure finished welds meet engineering drawings. Interpret specifications for each job, set up tooling and fixtures for accurate part placement, and troubleshoot minor mechanical or programming issues. Maintain a clean and safe work area adhering to all company safety protocols. Requires at least two years of experience operating industrial robotic welding systems and proficiency in MIG and/or TIG processes.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience operating and programming industrial robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA)
- Strong background in MIG and/or TIG welding processes and metallurgy
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics
- Familiarity with various welding gauges and quality control procedures
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex automation issues
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 2 years of experience
