Job Summary

Robotic Welding Technician responsible for programming, optimizing, and maintaining robotic welding cells. duties include creating and modifying robotic welding programs via teach pendants and offline software, performing mechanical repairs to robotic arms and welding peripherals, developing preventative maintenance schedules, supporting production cell setups and changeovers, overseeing weld quality by adjusting wire feed speed, voltage, and travel speeds, maintaining critical spare parts inventory, and providing training to operators and technicians on best practices for cell operation and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in robotic programming and maintenance within a metal manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on skills troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and programming faults in a fast-paced production setting
  • Experience with offline programming and simulation tools (e.g., ABB RobotStudio or Fanuc ROBOGUIDE)
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding symbols
  • Deep understanding of industrial safety protocols, including LOTO and robot cell safety standards
