Job Summary

Perform machine assembly, checkout, and equipment testing on robotic systems, including formers, closers, and loaders. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues while navigating SolidWorks models to clarify build processes. Complete production concerns and engineering change requests for continuous improvement, ensuring all ECNs are installed and logged. Operate forklifts, manage parts shortages, and assist with crating and shipment. Collaborate with Engineering, Production Leads, and Managers to resolve issues and hand off machinery. Maintain safety protocols, 5S standards, and accurate labor reporting in a fast-paced assembly environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Two-year Automated Packaging degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years in packaging machinery assembly with experience as a Service Technician, or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of experience in checking out Delkor equipment
  • demonstrated knowledge of a full range of Delkor Equipment
  • Must have successfully completed the in house electrical training course
  • Familiar with Program Logic Controller (PLC) and RS Logics Series 5000
  • Experience in using various types of pneumatic and electrical tools, grinders, band saw, sanders, lifting and moving devices, saws and drills including an assortment of hand tools
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze machine drawings
  • Able to train other people
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Communicates clearly and effectively (verbally and/or non-verbally) to individuals and groups, internally and externally, to exchange ideas and convey detailed information accurately
  • Works well with a variety of people and personalities, and with other Delkor departments
  • Works collaboratively, as a team member, to suggest ideas and resolve issues in a positive manner
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision
  • Able to maintain a positive workplace environment, even when encountering challenging situations
  • Able to problem solve and take direction regarding routine activities and problem resolution
  • Stand and walk for a majority of the day
  • Speak and hear to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication in person or using the telephone; exchange ideas and convey detailed information accurately to co-workers, managers, vendors and others inside and outside the company
  • Apply physical mobility (reaching, bending, climbing, crawling, kneeling, arm and leg extension) to perform all assembly production activities
  • Possess extensive arm and hand mobility and strength to lift, hold, reach, carry, push and pull parts. Also able to move parts, tools, equipment and materials in and out of vehicles
  • Lift 40 pounds regularly; occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance
  • See and judge distances and space relationships to successfully complete detailed activities to find tolerances, including reading written plans and other documents
  • Operate all tools typically used on an assembly floor
  • Must be familiar with proper rigging techniques
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Medium specialization on specific types of equipment
  • Able to use standard computer programs for work processing including SyteLine, Web client, Solid works, Synchrono, & Microsoft Office products
  • Has general knowledge of third-party equipment and is able to integrate with Delkor equipment
  • Able to train other people
