Job Summary
Unstack pallets of ingredient materials weighing 10 to 65 pounds and dump contents into washers, grinders, or sifters. Lift and arrange bread or batter mix bags (up to 50 lbs) into blenders or tubs, sometimes at waist or shoulder level. Pick small ingredients like cheese or fish with a scoop or hands, place them on a conveyor, and align products for proper breading or freezing. Inspect items visually, sort unacceptable products into inedible containers, and pack final cases weighing 0.5 to 10 pounds. Tape cases with a hand-held machine, stack finished product cases in specific patterns, and maintain sanitation by wiping conveyors, sweeping debris, and washing down drains with a low-pressure hose. Perform an eight-hour shift in a safe, efficient manner while following all company policies and instructions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs through-out the shift
- Willing and able to understand and accept instruction, follow directions, policies and rules
- Effectively communicate with peers and superiors
- Work in a safe and efficient manner
- Work effectively with other people in a work group or team
Desired Qualifications
- Some computer knowledge
- Prior work or volunteer experience
