Robot Welding Operator - Weekend Shift

Job Summary

Robotically weld parts according to drawings and specifications while programming, troubleshooting, and monitoring robotic welders. Debug machine issues by editing paths, repairing components like weld guns and electrodes, and developing root cause analyses. Inspect all welds and the first-off parts to ensure conformance with Quality Assurance requirements. Read and interpret shop manufacturing drawings, perform basic maintenance on equipment, and manage gas and wire supplies. Ensure tasks are completed within allotted times. Weekend shifts run Friday to Sunday from 5:15 AM to 5:45 PM, including 4 paid hours to reach 40 hours weekly. Pay ranges from $28 to $34 based on experience.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with robot welding
  • Experience in maintaining robotic weld cells (programming and setting up an asset)
  • Experience in the use of tape measures, vernier caliper, and other measuring tools
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet while using tools to perform repetitive tasks
  • Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to understand complex instructions, how schematics work, and make sure items are designed and built correctly
  • Strong problem-solving skills - understand why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output and how to fix errors
  • Ability to work both independently and with supervision
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Friday to Sunday (12-hour shifts)
  • 5:15 AM to 5:45 PM (includes an additional 4 paid hours to reach 40/week)
