Job Summary
Robot Simulation Technician needed to develop and analyze robotic simulations for automated systems using DELMIA Robotics on the 3DEXPERIENCE Platform. Responsibilities include setting up simulation work cell models from design data, analyzing robot paths for reach and layout, evaluating robot–tooling interactions for interferences, reviewing cycle times, assessing safety compliance (ANSI/RIA, CSA, ISO), collaborating with colleagues to resolve design/process issues, offline programming to create collision-free robot paths, generating simulation deliverables (data sheets, videos, cycle-time analyses), creating offline program downloads and debugging with robot software, and assisting with engineering changes and shop-floor programming as needed. Qualifications emphasize post-secondary engineering/mechatronics education, robotics programming experience (asset), experience with welding/handling applications, safety standards familiarity, multiple robot brands, and proficiency with simulation software. Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in engineering, mechatronics, or related technical discipline
- Experience programming industrial robotics or robotic simulation/offline programming is an asset
- Experience in at least one robotic application: MIG welding, spot welding, sealing, or material handling
- Familiar with industry robot safety standards (ANSI/RIA, CSA, ISO)
- Experience with at least one robot brand: FANUC, ABB, KUKA, NACHI, MOTOMAN
- Experience using various Robotic Simulation software (DELMIA D5/V5/V6, RobCad, Process Simulate, Roboguide, RoboStudio)
