Job Summary
ABB Robot Programmer responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing ABB robotic systems; support startup, integration, and commissioning of automation equipment; perform robot touch-ups, recoveries, and production support; troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and process automation issues; work closely with controls engineers, machine builders, and project teams; modify robot paths, I/O, and tooling as needed during launch activities; support onsite installation and production ramp-up in South Carolina; maintain safety and quality standards throughout all phases of the project; requires 3+ years ABB programming, automotive/industrial automation experience, and willingness to travel; preferred experience with ABB RobotStudio, PLC troubleshooting, vision systems, and conveyor/material handling; overtime and per diem available.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of ABB Robot Programming experience
- Experience with automated assembly or manufacturing systems
- Ability to troubleshoot robots, tooling, and automation equipment independently
- Experience with robot commissioning and production support
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
- Automotive automation experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be open to travel and extended project support in South Carolina
