Job Summary
Operate Funac robotic plasma cutters and stationary plasma cutters to produce accurate cuts on heavy steel. Execute MIG welding tasks while utilizing overhead bridge cranes, 1,000lb hoists, and industrial band saws for material handling. Maintain safety protocols and proper PPE use during 8–10 hour shifts in temperatures ranging from 90 to 100 degrees. Use tape measures and rulers for precision measurements while standing and walking frequently. This contract-to-hire role in Blue Ash supports manufacturing operations requiring basic mechanical aptitude and a focus on detail.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in cutting heavy steel
- Experience in MIG welding
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Interest in learning industrial machinery
- Willingness to learn machine safety procedures
- Willingness to learn proper PPE use
- Ability to use simple measuring tools
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 – 10 hours a day
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to work in temperatures of 90 to 100 degrees
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in cutting heavy steel (2 years preferred)
- Experience in MIG welding (2 years preferred)
