Job Summary
Safely operate physical and simulated robotic prototypes using virtual reality headsets and controllers for extended periods. Collect data to improve company models by demonstrating tasks and evaluating autonomous behavior across onsite and offsite locations. Execute data collection missions, perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on robotic systems, and set up testing equipment. Operate company vehicles to transport equipment between locations and provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, partners, or investors. Requires valid U.S. driver's license, ability to work in VR, and U.S. citizenship.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work for extended periods using a virtual reality (VR) headset, with sufficient spatial awareness to safely operate robotic systems
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds
- Proficiency using Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems and office productivity tools
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehicles
- Authorization to work in the United States (U.S. citizenship required for this role due to business or legal requirements)
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with video gaming, virtual reality systems, or remote-operated platforms (e.g., drones, robotics, or similar technologies)
- Demonstrated proficiency through competitions, public portfolios, streaming platforms, or other verifiable experience
- Familiarity with command-line interfaces, GitHub or version-controlled environments
