Job Summary
Robot Installation Engineer to install FANUC automated paint systems in automotive facilities nationwide. Responsibilities include installing robots and peripheral equipment, teaching and tuning robot paths and programs, integrating equipment into customer processes, performing functional testing, troubleshooting issues, repairing and retrofitting components, providing Paint System training to customer personnel, and generating documentation and reports. Requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail for documentation, problem-solving, and knowledge of automation, PLCs, and general instrumentation and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Installation of robots and peripheral equipment
- Teach, modify, and fine tune robot paths and programs
- Integration of supplied equipment into customer processes
- Testing or functional verification of major components
- Troubleshooting and debugging technical problems
- Repair, rework, or retrofit of product and equipment
- Paint System specific training of Customer personnel
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer satisfaction focus
- Meticulous documentation
- Controls and programming knowledge (PLC)
- Knowledge of Automation
- Use of hand tools and instrumentation (DVM, Oscilloscope)
