Job Summary
Program robots, configure I/O, and teach paths using Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka systems. Perform advanced programming, load programs, and debug support with the team. Set up vision systems, establish communication protocols like DeviceNet and Ethernet IP, and execute installation start-up and production support. Read electrical and pneumatic prints while troubleshooting PLC programs and Cartesian coordinate frames. Requires 2+ years of robotics experience, proficiency in Visual Basic, C, or C++, and willingness to travel up to 75%. Based in Wixom, MI, this role supports Fives DyAG's turnkey industrial automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Strong and recent background in two of the following robots: Fanuc, ABB, or Kuka
- Able to do Advanced Programming in the two robots they have the most knowledge
- 2+ years of working with robotics
- Able to read Electrical and Pneumatic Prints
- Strong Electrical troubleshooting skills
- Very proficient with Robotic Path Teaching
- Complete understanding of Cartesian coordinate system as it relates to a robot's EOAT & Frames/Work Objects, and the ability to teach such frames
- Ability to do basic/intermediate programming in other programming languages (i.e. Visual Basic, C or C++ language)
- Willing to travel (sometimes this can be up to 75%)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with setup and training on Vision Systems on which ever robot they have the most knowledge is ideal
- Previous experience with FANUC iRVision (2D or 3DV/L) is highly preferred
- Experience with Vision Systems is helpful
- Troubleshooting experience with PLC programs is helpful
