Job Summary
Robichaud Instructional Mentor at Robichaud High School provides instructional mentorship and intervention support to students. Essential duties include supervising and supporting students enrolled in flexible learning courses; monitoring attendance, assignments, and course participation; providing organizational, study skills, and time-management support; assisting students in setting academic goals and developing success plans; facilitating small-group instruction and intervention in mathematics and other core subjects; supporting differentiated instruction and targeted student support strategies; maintaining records per 31A; participating in professional development; collaborating with teachers and staff; communicating with parents and administrators; promoting student engagement, behavior, and academic persistence; upholding confidentiality; and serving as a school advocate. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's Degree (preferred), knowledge of Michigan Merit and CCSS standards, computer literacy, and experience with MISTAR and Google Workspace.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Able to assist students with the Michigan Merit curriculum standards and the Common Core State Standards for English, Math, along with the CCSS Literacy standards for History and Social Studies.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Internet use.
- Enjoys working with teenagers and aware of their interests and enthusiasm resulting in effective communication.
- Capable of communicating with students in an informal and friendly way.
- Knowledge of MISTAR and Google Workspace
- Possess high expectations of students
