Job Summary
Roasting Operator responsible for roasting multiple kinds of nuts (e.g., peanuts, almonds, cashews) at a Madison Heights facility. Duties include maintaining proper cooking temperatures for oil usage on roasting machines, inspecting for non-conforming materials to uphold food safety, maintaining accurate inventory, loading/unloading materials with Hi-Lo, cleaning and sanitizing roasting equipment, following GMP/Q&FS/OSHA safety policies, and supporting the team to hit production targets. Requires 18+ and a High School diploma or equivalent, basic math, English proficiency, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfort with standing and lifting up to 50 lbs. Preferred Hi-Lo operator experience; training available. Full-time with scheduled hours Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:00pm with overtime as needed; benefits include PTO, medical/dental/disability/life insurance, 401(k) with company match. Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Calculator and computer proficiency; SAP platform on handheld device
- English language proficiency
- Self-directed
- Ability to work well with peers and supervisors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production running efficiently
- Ability to operate Hi-Lo truck (preferred)
