Roasting Machine Operator

Job Summary
Set up and operate assigned roasting machines while leading a team of line operators, ensuring finished product meets customer and regulatory requirements. Clean and sanitize equipment during changeovers, inspect prior to line start-up, and maintain accurate documentation. Troubleshoot equipment issues, escalate concerns when necessary, and assist in training other employees on machine operations. Direct and motivate staff for efficient and safe operation, communicating with maintenance and quality teams to optimize production goals. Perform related duties as assigned, including lifting up to 50 pounds and moving raw materials using a pallet jack. Work the first shift from 4:30am to 1:00pm or second shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 yrs or older
- Knowledge of manufacturing specifications and quality standards
- Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, Allergens and Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to read and write English
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use GMP & PPE appropriately (hairnets, smocks, gloves, etc.)
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to push/pull up to 2200 lbs of raw materials on a pallet with a pallet jack
- Ability to slide barrels of up to 600 lbs of ingredients from pallets to conveyors
- Ability to reach, lift, stack or maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to talk or hear
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and climb ladders/stairs
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer having at least 1 year machine operator experience in a fast paced food manufacturing environment
- Bi-lingual in Spanish
- Ability to sit
- Ability to walk
- Ability to occasionally stand and walk
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision
- Ability to adjust focus
- Ability to follow GMP guidelines when entering our production facility
- Ability to tolerate warm/cold temperatures
- Ability to tolerate noise levels exceeding 85 dB
