Job Summary
Oversee daily operations for a heavy civil highway project by performing field engineering and design of temporary structures, including formwork, false work, and sheet piling. Coordinate survey crew activities, manage schedule preparations and updates, and track quantities for project costing and forecasting. Resolve field conflicts with subcontractors and suppliers, prepare requisitions for equipment and materials, and document time and material work. Maintain a daily diary of project progress and photos while assisting with project closeout and RFI preparation. This role supports the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Engineer within MasTec Civil's CE&I segment, which generates over $4.5 billion in annual revenue. The position requires a strong leader with four years of construction engineering experience and proficiency in project controls software.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degrees in engineering / construction management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and/or surveying experience
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Proficient in database and project controls computer application systems, MS Excel, MS Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing
