Roadway Project Engineer II

Job Summary
The Roadway Project Engineer II will work closely with senior staff on transportation projects, independently execute project work plans, ensure projects remain under budget and on schedule, and mentor junior staff. Key responsibilities include interacting with clients and stakeholders, contributing to strategic growth, and representing Benesch at industry events. Candidates must have at least 6 years of civil transportation design experience, a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering, and a PE license in TN or ability to obtain it. Strong communication, organizational skills, and advanced software proficiency are essential.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
- Licensed PE in the state of TN or able to obtain licensure through comity within one year
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience working with public agencies, private entities and/or municipalities
- Progressive experience with developing plans specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Strong organizational skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced use of MicroStation and Geopak
- OpenRoads Designer experience
