Job Summary
The Roadway Project Engineer will create and execute project work plans, manage project teams while being accountable for budget and schedule, and mentor junior staff. Key responsibilities include contributing to Division strategic growth initiatives, interacting with clients, agencies, and other project stakeholders, and representing Benesch at industry events. Candidates need a minimum of 4 years of civil transportation design experience, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and a Licensed PE in Georgia or plans for licensure within one year.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of diverse and progressive civil transportation design experience
- Licensed PE in the state of GA or planning to obtain licensure within one year
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering
- Progressive experience with developing plans, technical specifications, and submissions per DOT standards and requirements, including OpenRoads
- Excellent communication and client relation skills
- Strong organization skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
- Ability to work independently and develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with public agencies, private entities, and/or municipalities
- Previous experience with GDOT standards and requirements
- Advanced use of CADD
