Job Summary
Conduct conceptual and final design preparation for roadway, highway, interchange, and urban roadway projects for public clients. Develop horizontal and vertical geometry, prepare plan and profile sheets, typical sections, cross sections, maintenance of traffic plans, and utility adjustment plans. Create design and planning project schedules and budgets. Serve as Task Lead, supervising design progress and coordinating with city, state, county officials, and outside agencies. Review plans, prepare technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Supervise less experienced engineers and technical support personnel. Requires Florida PE license with 10+ years post-registration experience and proficiency in OpenRoads Designer.
Required Qualifications
- B.S or M.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University
- Licensed PE in the State of Florida
- 10 years of post-Registration experience
- Proficiency in the use of OpenRoads Designer
- Working knowledge of current standards from FDOT, AASHTO, and MUTCD
- MicroStation
- ORD Drainage & Utilities
- ICPR
- PONDS
- Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Florida Department of Transportation project experience
