Job Summary
Roadway Engineer (PE) at Hanson: Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary design teams delivering transportation projects for local governments and state DOTs. Responsibilities include planning and executing roadway projects (reconstruction/rehabilitation of rural and urban roads, bridges, culverts, street improvements, pedestrian facilities), preparing and reviewing complex design calculations and construction documents, mentoring junior staff, coordinating with project managers, and interfacing with clients to discuss existing and future projects. Proficiency with Microstation/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil3D is desirable. Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a PE license in the appropriate state; 5+ years of roadway engineering experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Professional Engineer license in state of assigned office or ability to reciprocate a license from another state within 6 months
- 5+ years of progressive roadway engineering experience desired

- Civil engineering design, mentoring, and client interaction experience
