Job Summary
Independently develop and supervise engineering products for large-scale infrastructure projects, including defining problem scope, preparing budgets and schedules, and providing technical direction. Create detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, and design packages while developing requisitions for equipment and materials. Supervise subordinates and offer technical guidance to CAD designers and lower-level engineers on highway geometric design projects. This role supports Parsons' Critical Infrastructure team, working on high-profile projects that enhance community mobility and sustainability. Candidates must be located in Raleigh or Columbia with a hybrid attendance arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with highway geometric design background
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate may be required, and candidate should be on the PE track
- Proficiency in CAD (Microstation and InRoads/OpenRoads) and other PC software packages commonly used in engineering
- Location Flexibility: Candidates can be located in either Raleigh, North Carolina or Columbia, South Carolina, with an ideal hybrid office attendance arrangement
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with NCDOT/SCDOT highway design projects preferred
- Strong communication skills
