Job Summary
Roadway Engineer to lead transportation and infrastructure projects in the Orlando, FL area. Provides technical leadership, construction engineering inspection support, and mentorship for junior engineers. Responsibilities include serving as Engineer of Record for small to medium transportation improvement projects, developing study and design procedures, reviewing design calculations and technical documentation, inputting to budgets and schedules, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring compliance with FDOT criteria and regulatory requirements. Preferred candidates will have experience with Bentley Open Roads and 3D Modeling, ability to design typical sections and alignments, and ability to lead small teams. Relocation not offered; sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months
- US Citizenship required
- Familiarity with FDOT plan production and design criteria
