Job Summary

Roadway Construction Inspector role focused on field-based inspection and contract administration for transportation projects in the Edmonton region and across Alberta. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor operations for compliance with contracts and drawings, preparing daily/weekly reports, maintaining project records and site diaries, reviewing contractor work procedures and QC testing records, coordinating with engineers, project managers, and owners, providing field supervision of construction layout and inspections, attending site meetings, and supporting ongoing roadway infrastructure projects in Edmonton and Alberta. Requires a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a degree in Civil Engineering, eligibility for ASET or APEGA registration, 3–5 years of related roadway construction inspection experience, and a valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Familiarity with Civil 3D/AutoCAD and strong communication/organization/problem-solving skills are advantageous.”,

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Eligibility for registration with ASET (C.E.T.) or APEGA (E.I.T.)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of related experience in roadway construction inspection and contract administration
  • Experience with roadway construction activities including earthworks, grading, subgrade preparation, drainage, and asphalt paving
  • Experience with municipal or provincial roadway projects
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
