Job Summary
Respond to member requests for roadside battery service, accepting dispatch calls and confirming locations before arrival. Assess scene safety, greet members, and perform diagnostic testing on electrical, battery, and starting systems. Execute jump starts, terminal maintenance, and battery replacements while providing referrals for additional repairs. Maintain service vehicle standards, manage inventory, and record activity via laptop. Follow DOT card requirements and complete annual training to uphold AAA performance standards and member satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High School GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Active and valid driver's license issued by only one state or jurisdiction
- Able to obtain and maintain a minimum of one-year DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee
- Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy
- Certify to operate a Battery Service Vehicle by attending the required training prior and refreshers annually
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics
- Familiarity of electrical troubleshooting
