Job Summary
Respond to roadside assistance callouts, delivering prompt mechanical support and diagnosing a wide range of vehicle breakdowns. Perform minor repairs including batteries, tyres, jump-starts, and adjustments while coordinating towing or specialist support where required. Provide outstanding customer service in high-pressure situations and maintain accurate service records in line with RAC policies. Work a flexible rotating roster of 8-hour shifts between 6:00am and 11:30pm, Monday to Sunday. No roadside patrol experience is required; comprehensive training covers RAC products, defensive driving, and supervised ride-alongs.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician
- Strong diagnostic capability
- Relevant automotive trade qualification
- Motor Vehicle Repairer's Licence (light vehicle)
- Current driver's licence with a clean record
- Ability to stay calm and supportive under pressure
- Customer-first mindset
- Ability to work independently
- Residence between Mandurah and the Swan District
