Job Summary
Roadside Assistance Technician/Tow Driver at AAA The Auto Club Group in Raleigh, NC. You will operate a full-size or mini service truck or tow truck to assist AAA members and motorists, using GPS/maps to locate breakdowns, providing fuel, testing and replacing batteries, performing jumpstarts, lockout service, and changing or inflating tires. You may arrange for or tow a vehicle when it cannot be started or is unsafe to drive, and you’ll strive to ensure 100% member satisfaction by delivering excellent customer service and offering battery tests/sales. You may also provide support at events (parades, travel shows, Car Care or PR events). The role requires use of service equipment, adherence to safety and policies, and potential participation in benefits and training programs. Required Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license
- Are 21 years of age or older
- Possess a valid state driver’s license with minimal driving infractions / incidents
- Have experience using tablets or electronic devices to update calls, review policies and procedures, document safety records and complete other applicable duties
- Exhibit strong customer service skills, including ability to effectively communicate to customers / members and understand the need for meeting & exceeding customer expectations
- Have the ability to lift materials weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds
- Are able to successfully complete drug screening, MVR, criminal background check and DOT health screenings (pre-employment and ongoing)
