Job Summary
Respond to member requests for roadside service within a given ETA, assessing scene safety and handling technical aspects like jump starts, tire replacements, and minor mechanical assistance. Safely tow disabled vehicles to repair facilities or destinations while following Club policies and manufacturer specifications. Accept calls from Dispatch or members, diagnose probable causes of breakdowns, and educate members on possible issues. Maintain service vehicles and equipment, collect revenue accurately, and safeguard confidential information. Promote AAA products and services, including battery replacement, while working independently under pressure and various traffic or weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics
- Familiarity of electrical troubleshooting
- Active and valid driver's license issued by only one state or jurisdiction
- DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 Year
- Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy
