Job Summary
Respond to member requests for roadside service, accepting dispatch calls and confirming estimated times of arrival. Upon arrival, assess scene safety, greet members, and perform diagnostic testing on electrical, battery, starting, and fuel systems. Execute battery testing, terminal maintenance, boost services, and on-the-spot battery replacements while following hazardous materials protocols. Provide referrals to approved facilities for additional repairs and transport members to their destination if towing is required. Maintain service vehicles, inventory tools, and record van activity using a laptop.
Required Qualifications
- High School GED
- At least 21 years of age
- Active and valid driver's license issued by only one state or jurisdiction
- Able to obtain and maintain a minimum of one-year DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee
- Satisfactorily pass a motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment in accordance with policy
- Certify to operate a Battery Service Vehicle by attending the required training prior and refreshers annually
Desired Qualifications
