Job Summary
Conduct site checks, wheelchair securement, and vehicle cleanliness inspections while monitoring street operations for on-time performance and route adherence. Respond to accidents and incidents by managing situations, collecting information, and assisting dispatch to resume service levels, including accompanying injured operators to medical facilities for drug and alcohol testing. Perform gate checks at pull-out or pull-in times, ensuring proper paperwork, manifests, and pre- and post-trip inspections are completed. Identify potential rerouting due to traffic or construction, verify operator fitness and licensing, and assist with field vehicle change outs. Document all field observations, maintain files, and provide feedback on safety hazards and service items to operations and safety departments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certifications according to local contract requirements
- Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment
- Excellent safety and service record
- Knowledge of local training program and local operations
- Knowledge of client and service performance requirements
- Ability to manage emergency situations
- Knowledge of project specific vehicles, components and data/communications systems
- Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and corporate safety programs and policies
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments
- Ability to work independently and objectively
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
